Heirloom is a private photo-sharing app for friends and family. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, when we use Google data, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account information such as your name, email address, and basic profile details.
- Photos, captions, comments, reactions, and connection or invite information that you choose to share in Heirloom.
- Basic app and security data such as login activity, error logs, and actions needed to operate and protect the service.
Google sign-in
- If you choose Google sign-in, Heirloom receives basic Google account information such as your name, email address, and profile identifier to authenticate your account.
- Heirloom does not use Google user data for advertising, does not sell Google user data, and does not share Google user data except as needed to provide the app's user-facing features or as required by law.
How we use data
- Provide and operate the app, including login, private sharing, comments, reactions, and connection features.
- Protect the app, investigate abuse, and keep the service reliable.
- Respond to support requests and communicate important service messages.
How your photos and data are shared
Heirloom is designed for private sharing. Your content is shared only with the people you connect with inside the app, along with service providers needed to host and deliver the service, such as infrastructure and storage providers.
Your choices
- You can update your profile information inside the app.
- You can disconnect Google account access from your Google account settings or by removing the connected account from Heirloom.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated content by contacting us.
Data retention
We keep your account data and uploaded content for as long as your account remains active or as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations. If you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify your data within a reasonable period unless we are required to keep it for legal or security reasons.
